Stefanie Black is a litigation attorney handling passengers’ personal injury claims and crewmember cases as well as non-maritime personal injury claims. She has experience in maritime personal injury litigation as well as cargo claims against ocean carriers in federal court. Ms. Black enjoys state and federal court practice with a history of countless successful trials. She is passionate about providing exceptional representation to the firm’s clients throughout all stages of the litigation process.

Stefanie obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Barry University School of Law and graduated in the top 18% of her class. While in law school, she received the Book Award for Florida Civil Procedure, Negotiations, and the Children and Families Clinic. During her law school tenure and as a Certified Legal Intern, she represented minors in juvenile delinquency criminal proceedings where she earned top recognition for her work in and out of the courtroom.
After law school, she prosecuted child abuse cases for three years and gained priceless courtroom skills. Later, Stefanie pursued a career in maritime law and continued her interest in representing individuals who suffered loss or injury. While working at a maritime law firm in Miami, she gained invaluable experience representing passengers pursuant to the General Maritime Law and crew members under the Jones Act.
Stefanie enjoys her free time by traveling and spending time with family when she’s not performing community service.
